Odds And Ends, Part 2

I wanted to make sure that I finished the brackets I started prepping yesterday so I can paint tomorrow, provided the POR-15 arrives. I started by using the wire wheel on the last of the three brackets.

When they had all been wire wheeled, I sprayed them down with MarineClean and scrubbed on them with a brush. Then I rinsed them all off with water.

I set the brackets on a tub lid so I could collect and reuse the Prep and Ready. I wish I would have been doing this all along. I would have saved some money.

I sprayed the first side of the brackets with Prep and Ready and then let them soak for 10 minutes before flipping them over and doing the same on the other side.

After the parts had soaked in Prep and Ready I sprayed them off with water. Notice the water in the sprayer is nice and brown. That is good clean Aberdeen water.

These brackets just need to dry and they will be ready for paint.

I dumped the Prep and Ready back into the spray bottle for use next time, sprayed off the driveway, and called it a night.
