A Bright Idea

I just ordered a 1993-1997 Chevy Camaro headlight mounting panel from a seller on eBay. The 1993-1997 Camaro headlights are the perfect size to use as fog lights for KITT. They also mounted in a stair-stepped fashion which will naturally follow the angle of KITT's nose. Here are some pictures taken from the auction listing.

I plan to cut off the light pods on either side and mount them to KITT's aluminum bumper.

Just so you can get a feel for what these look like mounted, here are some pictures taken of them mounted on a Camaro. This Camaro belongs to a friend of mine who graciously allowed me to take some close up pictures of the lights. It is very easy to see the stair-step mounting style. I will be cutting off everything to the right of the notice sticker.

The only thing I will have to decide is whether I want to use the high beams or low beams. The outside light is the low beam with the inside being the high beams. Whichever I decide to use I will end up replacing the alternate pair with a matching pair. I think I will end up waiting until these are on the car to be certain which I want to use. Luckily the mounting panel I ordered includes the lights. I will take more pictures of it once it arrives.
